Economic Classes and Express Entry

Canada has long encouraged people with good English or French language abilities, a good education, and great job skills to settle in this country. Most such applicants nowadays are selected through the "Express Entry" system.

Permanent resident status is actually not granted by the Express Entry system. Instead, it is granted through one of several underlying categories, such as:

  • Canadian Experience Class
  • Federal Skilled Trades
  • Federal Skilled Worker, or
  • Provincial Nominee Programs

The Express Entry system gives a selected applicant the right to apply for permanent residence under one of the above four categories. The Express Entry system therefore has more than doubled the work needed and complexity of an application for permanent residence.

Contact us to arrange an appointment if you would like to be one of the tens of thousands of people who successfully apply for permanent residence each year.
