Appeals

Know and defend your rights! The timelines to start an "appeal" of a negative decision are often extremely short!

  • The Immigration Appeal Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board hears appeals from sponsorship refusals and of removal orders made against permanent residents.
  • The Refugee Appeal Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board handles appeals of refusals of some refugee claims.
  • The Federal Court of Canada hears "Applications for Judicial Review" from the rest of the refusals of refugee claims and of all other negative Immigration and Citizenship decisions.

Trust only an expert to represent you with your appeal.
