Update of Parent Sponsorship Program

On July 20, 2021 IRCC announced that it will accept up to 30,000 additional applicants under this program. IRCC will send invitations to potential sponsors who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020. Invitations to apply will be sent over the course of two weeks, starting the week of September 20, 2021. The minimum income needed to sponsor your parent has also dropped a bit.
Not many new details are available on IRCC's web site about this program.
